Not generally - tho some years its different - but you have Chinese New Year, which is gold oriented, and then an Indian marriage season, also gold oriented...........

The general belief is "Sell in May, go away!"........but there are years that hasn't been true too...........

With silver to a lesser extent and not necessarily in the same ratio........

With gold and silver - you buy, you put it away and forget about it.........sort of...............

You don't watch the little ups and downs or you will give yourself an ulcer........

I know you bought and it went down a little - thats common - happens all the time...........

You have to remember you are a LONG-TERM investor.............relax and know it will go way up from when you bought..........

Absolutely! Gold will drop from its high of $1,023 (end of February?) all the way back down to a brief low of only $887 (early March?), and all of us will be holding a wake for the profits that disappeared! :D

d00d, a resource you might check out is http://www.kitco.com/charts/ - you can do research into past years' prices, look at year by year charts, and try and get an idea of any seasonal swings. Also, take a look at the "technical charts" section for gold/silver. Has the 30 and 200 day moving averages marked out in 1, 2, 5, 10-yr charts.

Second week of December usually sees a drop. Then another between Jan/Feb.
